My new Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM ART arrived in the mail this afternoon and I couldn’t wait to try it out. By all accounts, it seemed to be one of the sharpest APS-C lenses ever made so I had to get my hands on it!
I decided at the last second to walk over to my nearest dog park to try and get some test shots with it. Here I shot wide open at f/1.8 again because it was so dark. For some reason,
I never switched to auto-ISO or adjusted the ISO up for this entire shoot so these are all pretty badly underexposed. I guess I was only thinking about getting the sharpest possible image and the smoothest bokeh.
In hindsight, had I shot these around f/4 and ISO 400-800, these would have come out perfect. Either way, I was happy to be able to test out my new used lens for the first time so soon after I got it and I posted this set of pictures to my instagram shortly after.
